Jurisdiction of Sunday Plans

Sunday plans occupy a unique and fragile jurisdiction.

Too many, and the day collapses under obligation. Too few, and the hours stretch uncomfortably. Mismanaged entirely, Sunday begins to resemble Monday, which defeats its purpose.

To prevent this outcome, Flyers has established the following jurisdiction:

Within Sunday Jurisdiction

• Plans that end before they feel complete

• Activities that can be left early without explanation

• Invitations labeled “low key” that remain so

Outside Sunday Jurisdiction

• Obligations that require preparation

• Events that “might turn into a thing”

• Anything that creates anxiety before noon

On Declining: Saying no to a Sunday plan does not require a reason. “Another time” is sufficient.

For Advanced Cases: If you are already thinking about the week ahead, jurisdiction has been violated and corrective rest is advised.
